STUDENT GAMES SHOWCASE 2021

The Student Games Showcase is a segment of the SGDA Summit 2021 where we stream games made by students and invite developers to talk about them. All game teams of the Showcase can choose to opt-in to a mini-grant.

Frequently Asked Showcase Questions

There are 2 options: a selected number of SGDA officers can play the game, or developers can play their own games on-stream. Either way, we will be asking developers questions about their process, what they’ve learned, and so on.

No, we don’t expect your game to be finished by April 25th (the deadline for submissions), but we do expect it to be playable enough for SGDA officers to judge. Bugs or unfinished content won’t be judged.

The entire team is able to present during the Showcase. We expect presenters to follow the rules and guidelines of the server.

Once we review submissions, we will coordinate with all applicants to choose a timeslot for their segment on either May 29th or May 30th. Other preparations include a tech check, request for further information and graphic(s), and a final build. Final builds will be accepted up to May 19th.
